Carrie Bickmore’s ‘Insta vs reality’ swimsuit pics on Europe holiday
Carrie Bickmore has posted a glam swimsuit photo from her European travels, but the Project host backed it up with a hilarious pic of the “reality.”
Carrie Bickmore is still keeping things real off-air.
The 41-year-old former Project co-host posted a glamorous photo of herself in a leopard-print swimsuit while on holiday in Europe, as she effortlessly posed on the edge of an infinity pool with sweeping ocean views.

But in the very same Instagram post, she followed it up with a not-so-effortless pic of the “reality”, which showed her losing her balance and almost falling off the edge of the pool.
The TV presenter, who shocked Aussie viewers when she announced she was temporarily moving to the UK with her family last month, captioned the pictures “Insta vs reality”, which was met with praise from her followers.
One follower wrote, “Love your honesty!”, while her Project colleague Kate Langbroek said, “Both are v appealing from my pov!”
Another added, “But let’s be honest both look AMAZING.”
It comes after Bickmore revealed she had travelled across Europe over the past few weeks, visiting France, Austria and Switzerland, before finally settling into her new base in the UK this week.
Sharing a photo of herself with her partner Chris Walker, their two daughters Evie, 7, and Adelaide, 3, and Bickmore’s eldest son Oliver Lange, 14, at Melbourne airport, Bickmore wrote: “Our adventure is well underway. Can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to over the past few weeks travelling.”
“We’ve packed it in [France, Switzerland, Austria] (perhaps too many stops for our little people!) and we’ve seen the most incredible places.”
In March, Bickmore opened up about her decision to move her family to the UK for several months, explaining that it felt like the “last chance” to embark on a family adventure with her eldest son in tow.
“In April I’m going to be taking a few months off The Project desk,” she said on The Project.
“Chris and I and the kids are heading off on a family adventure together.
“We figure it’s never going to be the perfect time to go and it’s something we really want to do before my son starts his final years at school, so we’re doing term two in the UK. So I will be off for a couple of months.”
