Block billionaire Adrian Portelli’s truly absurd new post

The Block’s ‘Lambo guy’ Adrian Portelli just shared his highlights of the year so far – and it’s a truly eye-popping list.

Adrian Portelli shocks with $5 million dollar bid

Billionaire Block buyer Adrian Portelli is at it again, this time sharing a truly absurd list of highlights from a recent holiday – among them, travelling the world in his own plane and “buying a T-Rex foot.”

Portelli, also known as “Lambo guy” after he appeared on TV reno series The Block in an ostentatious Lamborghini dropping some huge winning bids in recent seasons, has been traversing the globe on his own private plane in recent months.

He shared some photos of the OTT holiday, complete with his “top 5 highlights.”

They are, in order:

1. Flying around the globe on my own plane

2. Receiving delivery of the Lambo Yacht and cruising around the French Riviera on it

3. Picking up one of my all time favourite cars: the McLaren SLR 722

4. Buying a T-Rex foot

5. Spending some quality, wholesome time with my family.

He ended with some simple advice to his followers: “Dream big fam. The life is what you make of it.”

True – but a net worth of around $1.03 billion does help. Special shout-out to his fourth highlight, the purchase of a T-Rex foot, and its appearance on the list above spending time with his family (although he did at least use his baby son for scale in that photo).

Portelli’s followers chimed in with their own jokey responses to the post.

“I went to Adelaide recently... not tryna brag,” wrote one follower.

“I was able to afford some spaghetti in a can this week. Thanks for the motivation, though,” another commented.

Another called it though “coldest photo dump of 2024.”

“You know you’ve made it when you have a jet with your initials on it,” one follower pointed out.

Portelli’s latest post comes weeks after he showed off his custom-made Lamborghini yacht on social media, after picking up the luxury vessel in Italy.

“Almost two years in the making, the Lamborghini yacht is complete,” he captioned the post.

“I had the pleasure of taking delivery of the boat in Italy and then spending the week on the French Riviera testing it out with friends and family. A big thank you to everyone involved.”

How Adrian Portelli made his fortune

A university dropout, Portelli initially worked at his father’s truck repair business before striking riches in Los Angeles working in tech start ups.

He teamed up with his tech-savvy flatmate while in the US to develop several successful apps, which they then sold at enormous profits.

Nowadays, he keeps his coffers full by running various online raffles and promotions on his online platform LCMT+, where punters can pay for the chance to win big prizes.

But he’s also become a famous face thanks to his appearance on Nine’s longrunning home reno series The Block.

Portelli made headlines in 2023 when he rocked up to Block contestants Omar and Oz’s auction and paid more than $1.58 million above their reserve, making them the runaway winners of the season.

And he pulled a similar stunt at last year’s Block finale, too. Young NSW couple Steph and Gian had been favourites with the judges all season, and it seems Portelli was a fan too: he bought their house for a cool $5 million, miles above their $3.35 million reserve.

As auction day wore on, he ended up buying three houses at a total cost of $12.4 million.
