Billie Eilish spotted in casual clothing in rare public outing

We are used to seeing her dripping in designer clothing on red carpets, but US musician Billie Eilish has been snapped looking unusually casual.

She’s known for her trademark designer baggy clothing, but Billie Eilish has been seen cutting an unusually casual figure.

The 18-year-old multi Grammy award winner, who is rarely papped in public, was photographed running errands in Los Angeles wearing a tan singlet, shorts, Gucci socks and Yeezy sandals.

The Bad Guy singer was not wearing any make-up as she styled her green hair in a high bun.

Eilish is one of the most celebrated musicians in the world right now, thanks to the astounding success of her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? – which won the ‘big four’ Grammy Awards earlier this year.

But she’s also well known for her outlandish red carpet fashion, often dripping in extravagant Gucci and Chanel ensembles.

And while her army of fans admire Eilish’s fashion sense, the star revealed a pretty upsetting reason why she mainly opts for loose-fitting wear in an interview with Elle magazine last year.

“It kind of gives nobody the opportunity to judge what your body looks like,” she told the publication.

“I want layers and layers and layers and I want to be mysterious. You don’t know what’s underneath and you don’t know what’s on top.”

But she conceded: “I’m gonna be a woman. I wanna show my body. What if I wanna make a video where I wanna look desirable? I know it would be a huge thing. I know people will say, ‘I’ve lost all respect for her.’”

In January, Eilish shared a rare photo of herself in a swimsuit and furiously hit back at people for “sl*t-shaming” her.

“I saw comments like, ‘How dare she talk about not wanting to be sexualised and wear this?!’” she told Dazed magazine.

“It was trending. There were comments like, ‘I don’t like her anymore because as soon as she turns 18 she’s a wh**e.’ Like, dude. I can’t win.”
