Beyoncé transforms into Pamela Anderson for rare music video
This A-lister completely embodied Pamela Anderson for a new photoshoot, in a bid to encourage fans to vote in the US election.
Halloween isn’t over until Beyoncé says so.
On Tuesday, the Grammy-winning artist, 43, kept the holiday festivities going on Instagram by posting a series of Pamela Anderson-themed costumes in a last-ditch bid to encourage her fans to vote in the US election.
“BEYWATCH,” she cleverly captioned the post showing off her various Anderson-inspired looks.
Fans were also treated to a rare music video from the US singer, who could be seen embodying Anderson while singing her hit song Bodyguard from her 2024 country album Cowboy Carter.
The A-lister re-created an iconic fashion moment from the popular 1989 film Baywatch: the cheeky red one-piece swimsuit, with her version reading “BEYWATCH” on the front.
In one moment from the music video, Beyonce got into character with a lifeguard whistle around her neck as she held a rescue tube.
Her next ensemble paid homage to Anderson’s role as Barbara in the 1996 movie Barb Wire. The mum-of-three channelled the character in a sultry black dress with a plunging neckline, leather over-the-knee boots and long black mesh gloves.
She encouraged her followers to participate in election day by holding up a small “Vote” sign in one shot.
Last but not least, Bey’s final costume was a remake of Pamela Anderson’s buzzed-about 1999 MTV Video Music Awards look — but with a special jab at fans, and herself.
For her take on the outfit, the Texas Hold ‘Em singer is clad in a fluffy pink hat, form-fitting corset top and sequin leggings that nailed the early aughts look from head to toe.
She even posed in front of a near-identical blue MTV backdrop, however, Beyonce swapped in a hilarious “No Visual Awards” step-and-repeat, referencing the ire of her fans for not releasing any music videos for the Renaissance and Cowboy Carter albums.
Beyonce recently opened up to GQ about why she didn’t make any music videos for her last two albums, saying she didn’t want visuals to become a “distraction from the quality of the voice and the music”.
“The music is so rich in history and instrumentation. It takes months to digest, research, and understand,” she told the magazine in September.
“The music needed space to breathe on its own.”
While she absolutely won Halloween after the fact with these three spot-on looks, the superstar actually had two previous costumes last week.
