Ben Affleck has debuted an edgy new look amid ongoing speculation he and wife Jennifer Lopez could be divorcing.

Ben Affleck has debuted a new look as speculation looms about a possible divorce from wife Jennifer Lopez.

The 51-year-old actor stepped out in LA this week with what appeared to be a faux-hawk, a haircut that is edgier than what he usual sports.

The dad-of-three, who had been riding around town on his electric motorcycle, capped off his look with a leather biker jacket and dark aviator shades, both a far cry from the flannel shirts and scruffy tees we’ve known him to wear.

Affleck’s new look has social media buzzing.

“This is the most freshly divorced man i’ve ever seen,” wrote one Twitter user, while another jibbed: “We’re reaching levels of divorced never before seen by man.”

“The male mind 48 hours after a break-up needs to be studied,” another joked, with one commenting of his looks: “Ben Affleck with a faux-hawk? Not sure how I feel about that.”

“At this point he should just marry matt damon,” one chimed in about Affleck’s long-running bromance with his actor mate.

The Oscar winner’s makeover comes after a telling few weeks for him and Lopez, who he married just two years ago.

Not only did they spend their July 17 wedding anniversary apart, but the singer also celebrated her 55th birthday without Affleck, instead marking the occassion with a lavish Bridgerton-themed bash with friends in the Hamptons.

But the boldest move of all was made by Affleck who bought himself a $US20.5 million ($31.3 million) bach pad mansion in the ritzy Pacific Palisades neighbourhood of LA. Just weeks prior, his and Lopez listed their marital home on the market.
