Barry Keoghan’s full-frontal nude scene shocks Saltburn viewers

Prime Video viewers have been left stunned after seeing an Oscar nominated actor dancing in his birthday suit.

If Jennifer Lawrence was hoping to maintain the title of being the only Oscar-nominated actor to have inexplicably appeared fully naked on-screen this year, she might want to look away now - because Barry Keoghan has officially entered the chat.

The Thriller movie Saltburn is the movie everyone is talking about, and much of the conversation has involved the performance of Oscar nominee Keoghan.

The actor plays an eccentric student named Oliver who spends the summer with his handsome classmate, Felix (Jacob Elordi) and embarks on a life-changing few months that changes the course of his life and those around him forever.

While there are plenty of seriously shocking scenes within the film, if you know you know, one scene in particular has taken Prime viewers by surprise.

During the finale of the critically acclaimed flick, Keoghan’s character stands in front of a record player while completely naked and plays Sophie Ellis Bextor’s smash Murder on the Dancefloor.

As the classic banger begins to play, Keoghan then starts dancing around the room in his birthday suit, and surprisingly, all without using a prosthetic that most actors tend to use when a scene requires them to reveal all.

While a dance scene with more flourishes had been planned, the movie’s choreographer confessed that one particular part of Keoghan’s anatomy made it impossible to do so.

“I did have to take out a couple of turns and spins I had put in because it showed just a little too much of the wrong thing in motion,” she told Vulture, adding that it “may have distracted the audience from the root message and reason of the dance.”

Following the film’s release on Prime, viewers have inundated social media with their reactions, with many sharing their shock at Keoghan opting to go full-frontal in the bizarre scene.

“Just saw Barry Keoghan dance entirely frontal naked for 5 minutes straight. What the f**k was that movie,” questioned one viewer.

Another praised the scene, saying Xmas had come earlier: “Santa came early and left a naked Barry Keoghan under the tree. It’s a Christmas miracle!”

“Just done watching Saltburn and seeing Barry Keoghan dancing in naked is not on my bingo card oh my god,” tweeted another. “Not complaining though!”

All in all, it apparently took Keoghan a little while to pluck up the courage to de-robe, and he ended up having to nail more than a handful of takes while in the nude.

“Right before we filmed, Barry was like, “Yeah, fine, I’ll be fine.” But once he’d done it the first time, the crew were suddenly going, “Oh my God, it’s great! What he’s doing is really great!”and his confidence went up,” added the scene’s choreographer, Polly Bennett.

“After we’d done it a few more times, Barry had recorded it on his phone and afterwards he was going around showing everyone, so I think he felt very comfortable and proud at the end of it.”
