Aussie actress Pia Whitesell and multi-millionaire husband rock $7 Bunnings hats on Sydney holiday

Aussie actress Pia Whitesell was spotted wearing this humble Bunnings item during her Sydney holiday with her multi-millionaire husband.

Pia Whitesell may now be living in the lap of luxury in a $57 million mansion after relocating from Sydney to LA three years ago, but the Aussie actress certainly isn’t above wearing the humble Bunnings hat when returning back home for a holiday.

The former Home And Away star, 41, was seen rocking the popular $7 straw hat from the warehouse giant as she sailed around Sydney Harbour on New Year’s Day with her multi-millionaire husband Patrick Whitesell, 59.

The hotshot talent agent – who is worth a cool $US450 million ($725 million) – appeared to borrow the same hat on the outing, while seeking refuge from the Aussie sun on-board their chartered luxury liner.

The Bunnings hat wasn’t the only quintessential Aussie item that the former model and actress has worn on her Sydney vacation.

The star was also gifted a cork hat typically worn by locals to ward off pesky flies – a present from former Home And Away producer Julie McGauran, which Pia called “the best gift ever”.

Just days ago, when the couple arrived at Sydney Airport via private jet, Pia was seen sporting much pricier headwear from Prada, a brown suede cap which retails for around $1300.

But it wasn’t long before she traded it in for a brown bikini as she lounged around with family and friends on-board the yacht, which the couple appear to be staying on while in Sydney for their vacation with Pia’s sons: Isaiah, 21, and Lennox, 17.

The gang also watched the stunning New Year’s Eve fireworks while anchored on the famous harbour, where they welcomed 2025 while dancing along to the tunes played by a DJ on-board.

Pia’s career took off in 2015 when she landed the role of Senior Constable Katarina ‘Kat’ Chapman on H&A.

The couple with Pia’s eldest son, Isaiah.

After three years on the long-running soap, she tried her luck in the US, where she soon landed a role in the 2019 live action film, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, playing Sabrina, Dora’s aunt and Diego’s mother.

That same year, Pia began dating Patrick, who is the executive chairman of talent and media agency Endeavour. They would later get engaged in November 2020 before secretly tying the knot in 2021.

Aside from a few photos here and there on Pia’s Instagram, the couple have kept their marriage relatively private.

Patrick was previously married to Lauren Sanchez from 2005 to 2019 and they share two teenage children. Lauren in now engaged to Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos.
