Notoriously private actor Andrew Garfield popped up in a very unexpected way in Bali, sparking an absolute frenzy online.

Fans have gone wild after a very ripped Andrew Garfield popped up in a candid picture while on holidays in Bali.

The 38-year-old actor, who starred as Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man film series, looked tanned and relaxed as he posed with fans after being spotted on the Indonesian island.

Shortly after being posted, Garfield’s topless picture sparked somewhat of a frenzy online.

While certainly flattering, it’s probably not the attention Garfield’s after these days – the actor revealed earlier this year that he’s planning to step away from acting for a while in order to be “ordinary for a while”.

His surprise remarks came off the back of an exceptionally busy year in his career, which included starring roles in several high-profile projects and a “washing machine” of an awards season.

“I’m going to rest for a little bit,” Garfield told Variety in April.

“I need to recalibrate and reconsider what I want to do next and who I want to be and just be a bit of a person for a while … I need to just be a bit ordinary.”

He also confirmed he has “no plans” to reprise his iconic Spider-Man role again.
