90s TV star Dean Cain makes rare public appearance
Superman himself Dean Cain has stepped out in Los Angeles, months after declaring he was giving up living in Hollywood for good.
90s TV star Dean Cain made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles over the weekend, stepping out for the 91st annual Hollywood Christmas Parade.
Cain, 57, is best-known for his work in the hit 90s TV show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, where he starred for four seasons as Superman alongside Teri Hatcher as Lois Clark.
Most people would remember him as Clark Kent, but the actor has a number of other credits to his name. He’s appeared in dozens of TV shows, including the original Beverly Hills 90210, Just Shoot Me!, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, Law & Order: SVU, Frasier, Smallville, Entourage, and Don’t Trust the B**** in Apartment 23.
In recent years, he’s gained more attention for his political leanings than for his acting career: In 2016 and 2020 he endorsed and voted for Donald Trump, despite describing himself as “very leftist” on many issues.
In 2018, he was elected to the board of directors of the National Rifle Association of America.
In an interview with Fox News Digital last month, Cain revealed the reason why he sold his “forever home” in Malibu for $6.25 million in May and relocated to Las Vegas.
“My home in Malibu was going to be my forever home,” Cain told the outlet.
“That was where I was going to die, and everything was going to be just fine. You can’t beat the weather. And I had a lovely house with the most incredible views.”
But, he said, “governments can ruin an area. And that’s what’s going on in California.”
“The policies are just terrible. The fiscal policies, the soft-on-crime policies, the homelessness policies,” he said in a June interview.
“The things that our leaders in California have been doing have driven out anybody who can really afford to get out. People are flocking out of there in droves.”
