Travis Barker lets slip name of he and Kourtney Kardashian’s unborn baby boy
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are set to welcome a boy any day now … and the punk drummer has let slip the baby’s edgy name.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are set to welcome their first child together any day now, but the musician has already unveiled the all-important name.
The A-list couple are expecting a baby boy, after Kardashian, 44, sensationally announced her pregnancy at a Blink-182 concert in June.
And this week, Barker, 47, let slip the pair are due for a “Halloween baby”, who he referred to as ‘Rocky’.
“There was a benefit in Hawaii that we [Blink-182] were gonna do, but it’s the week that Rocky’s due,” Barker said on the One Life One Chance podcast.
Podcast host Toby Morse complimented the name, made famous by Sylvester Stallone’s legendary Rocky franchise, to which Barker responded: “He’s gonna come out of my wife’s vagina like doing front kicks and push-ups.”
It’s unclear if ‘Rocky’ is just a placeholder name during Kardashian’s pregnancy.
It comes after Kardashian, 44, suffered a fatal health scare after she was rushed to hospital in early September.
The US reality star was thought to be going into labour after Barker abandoned several shows at the last minute as part of Blink-182’s European tour.
The punk band, in which Barker is the drummer for, was set to kick off their international tour in Glasgow on September 2, but Barker fled home to Los Angeles due to an “urgent family matter”, the band’s Twitter page announced at the time.
As a result, Blink-182 postponed their Belfast and Dublin shows on September 4 and 5, respectively.
It emerged shortly after Kardashian suffered a terrifying health scare, with the wellness entrepreneur taking to Instagram to thank “incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life.”
“I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mum, thank you for holding my hand through this,” she wrote.
The pair, who were married in Portofino, Italy, in May 2022, have previously been open about their struggles to conceive, having started fertility treatments in 2021.
During season two of The Kardashians – which was filmed early in 2022 – Kardashian explained how physically draining IVF [in vitro fertilisation] had been for her.
“My health is still impacted because it’s hormones, and mentally it definitely took a toll … I think being happy is what’s important and being a good parent to my kids. We’re just embracing that whatever is meant to be, will be,” she said at the time.
She added, after over a year, the couple had decided to stop the process.
“We are officially done with IVF,” she continued. “We would love a baby more than anything, but I just really believe in what God has in store for us. If that’s a baby, then I believe that it will happen.”
And then came their joyous news in the middle of this year, when Kardashian revealed she was pregnant during Barker’s concert in Los Angeles.
Standing in the crowd while Barker was performing onstage, Kardashian help up a sign that read, “Travis I’m pregnant”, in a nod to a scene from the film clip of the band’s 1999 song, All The Small Things.
