Rapper T.I. reveals he takes daughter to doctor to check she’s a virgin
Rapper T.I. has shocked fans after making a graphic announcement about the way he keeps tabs on his teenage daughter.
Rapper T.I. has horrified fans after revealing that he accompanies his 18-year-old daughter to the gynaecologist every year to ensure that she is still a virgin.
The music star, 39, made the shocking revelation about his eldest child, Deyjah Harris, during an appearance on the Ladies Like Us podcast, reports The Sun.
The Whatever You Like rapper admitted that he takes his daughter on an annual check-up to confirm that the teen’s hymen isn’t broken.
He said: “I will say as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact. Deyjah’s 18, just graduated high school now and she’s attending her first year of college, figuring it out for herself.
“And yes, not only have we had the conversation (about sex), we have yearly trips to the gynaecologist to check her hymen.”
Initially, podcast hosts Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham believed the American was joking until he was into more detail about their annual visit to the doctor’s.
“So it’s this one time we go, I think this might have been after her 16th birthday. This is what we do. Right after the birthday we celebrate,” he shared.
“Usually like the day after the party, she’s enjoying her gifts. I put a sticky note on the door: ‘Gyno. Tomorrow. 9:30.’
“So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor will come and talk and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism,” he continued.
“He’s like, ‘Well, you know sir, I have to, in order to share information’ — I’m like, ‘Deyjah, they want you to sign this … so we can share information.
“‘Is there anything you would not want me to know?’ ‘See doc? No problem.’”
Despite the doctor explaining that there are many other ways for a hymen to break besides sex, the rapper demanded to know about his daughter’s sexual health.
He added: “So then they come and say, ‘Well, I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken, like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding, and just other forms of athletic physical activity.’
“So I say, ‘Look doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen please and give me back my results expeditiously.’”
Defending his actions, T.I. insisted that he believes many wished their parents had been more protective of them.
“I think that most kids in hindsight, looking back, they always thank their parents for not allowing them to damage themselves as much as they could have,” he said.
When the hosts told the US star that men would be like vultures around Deyjah, he responded: “(Virgins) no fun. Who wants a virgin? Like really? All that work.”
Commenting on social media about his admission, one person wrote: “TI is so f***ing weird and disgusting to do that to his daughter. It’s invasive as well”.
“Bro, what?! Worth noting, Deyjah is 18. His sons aren’t virgins,” another penned. “He wants his daughters to stay virgins as long as possible, while noting that he feels other guys feels being virgins will make them less desirable.”
