Owen Wilson yet to meet three-year-old lookalike daughter
Owen Wilson’s youngest child has been seen in a rare photo for her third birthday, but the actor reportedly has nothing to do with her.
Owen Wilson’s daughter Lyla looks just like him in a rare photo shared by his ex-girlfriend, Varunie Vongsvirates.
The Wedding Crashers actor, 52, dated Vongsvirates casually for five years before they split prior to Lyla’s birth in 2018.
Vongsvirates shared a photo of young Lyla on Instagram in celebration of her third birthday, showing the young girl has the same wavy blonde hair and blue eyes as her famous father.
“Happy 3rd birthday to my wild child! I love you so much,” Vongsvirates wrote.
After sharing the photo, Vongsvirates told Daily Mail that Wilson is still “unfortunately” yet to meet his daughter.
Back in 2019, she claimed she begged the US actor to get involved in Lyla’s life.
She told the publication that her former lover was “not involved at all” with their little girl and “has never” met her, although admitted he does pay child support.
Wilson’s ex added: “He helps financially but it’s never been about that. Lyla needs a father. It’s ironic how [he] keeps getting these father roles, he’s playing a father in his new movie, and he’s never met his own daughter.”
At the time of Vongsvirates’ pregnancy, there was speculation that Lyla was not Wilson’s child, however he took a paternity test which proved he was the father.
A source told Us Weekly at the time: “He even checked the no visitation box in court in June. He does not want to visit [and does not] want any custody of her.”
Wilson has two other children with two different women.
The actor shares Robert, 10, with his ex-girlfriend Jade Duell, with whom he reportedly split with back in 2011.
He also has a six-year-old son named Finn with fitness trainer, Caroline Lindqvist.
Back in August, Owen snubbed Lyla while talking about being a dad to his sons and sharing his daily responsibilities, while also revealing he has a good relationship with their mothers.
