MAFS Jules and Cam welcome their baby boy

Married At First Sight success story Jules and Cam have announced the birth of a baby boy and revealed the sweet name of the new arrival.

Married At First Sight stars Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant have welcomed a baby boy.

The pair, the biggest success story from the franchise, announced that they were expecting in April this year.

The couple shared news of the birth on Instagram and revealed the baby’s name.

“#lovetafirstsight I would do it a thousand times again for Oliver Chase Merchant,” Jules wrote.

“We are home now and enjoying the love bubble and getting to know our lil man Ollie who has the world ahead of him.”

Since then, the couple have shared a handful of sweet pictures of themelves with baby Ollie:

They announced the news of their pregnancy earlier this year via Stellar magazine, together pushing an old fashioned pram. Sharing the news on Instagram. “First comes marriage, then comes love, then comes a MAFS baby in the baby carriage.”

Jules added to the sweet message: “We are having a baby!!! You heard it here so you know it’s actually true!”

“And we couldn’t be happier! I’m already so in love with my bump!”

Jules announced her pregnancy earlier this year.

Accompanying the gorgeous photo was an interview by the loved-up pair. Jules admitted that even she was surprised with how quickly she fell pregnant.

“I honestly thought it was going to come with a fight. Because of my age, I had done all the hormone testing, the egg count … so much is instilled that you’re going to struggle because of your age,” she explained to the publication.

“So I had it in my head that it was going to be a problem,” she continued. “But on the flip side, I think my saving grace was because all my focus was on launching my Figur shapewear line, it wasn’t the centre of my universe. I wasn’t obsessing over it. And for that, I’m so grateful.”

Husband Cam was equally as excited that he was becoming a father.

“I cried, for sure. I was emotional. It’s a big step and I’ve never done this before,” Cam said.

Cam and Jules got legally married in a beautiful ceremony in late 2019, after initially ‘marrying’ on the show. It didn’t take long for the pair to fall in love, quickly realising that they would be spending their lives together.

The newlyweds experienced the pregnancy during a global pandemic, but that didn’t put their lives on hold. Instead, they have been renovating their new home.

The pair have shared various photos of their journey, one including a pregnant Jules “resting” on a trolley during a Bunnings trip.

Jules also threw a gorgeous baby shower with her nearest and dearest, after her initial plans on a larger get together was cancelled because of the coronavirus restrictions.

Continuing to share her journey with her fans, the new mother also shared some relaxation techniques she was using to ease the pregnancy pressure spots.

“Dry needling releases muscle tension in your glutes (butt muscles) which helps to reduce the pain in your back and hips during pregnancy.

“It’s also a great way to reduce muscle tension & tightness around your pelvis heading into birth to ensure your muscles are as relaxed as possible for labour! I’m sooo into this!”

Robinson shared a close bond with her unborn baby during pregnancy.

“One of the most precious parts of my pregnancy has been connecting with my gorgeous growing baby,” she posted along with stunning baby bump photos.

The MAFS star was glowing!

Twice a day she would moisturise to prevent stretch marks, which Jules saw as more than just a beauty regimen. She loved “to really stop and have a moment between just the two of us”.

“It’s so amazing to know that the baby can hear me now, so I tell #babycub each day exactly what I’m doing and why,” she wrote in the caption.
