Kylie Jenner reveals why son had not one, but two names before she settled on ‘Aire’

Kylie Jenner has revealed for the first time her son had several names before she settled on ‘Aire’, and the heartbreaking reason why it changed multiple times.

Kylie Jenner has revealed her son previously had another name, separate from the two that have already been made public.

The US reality star turned billionaire makeup mogul, 27, welcomed her second child with rapper Travis Scott in early 2022, with the former couple announcing they’d named their baby Wolf Webster.

Almost a year later, Jenner confirmed her son’s official name had since been changed to Aire Webster, with the star expressing regret over naming him on the spot at the time of his birth.

“We put Wolf Webster in that moment, and right after I signed the birth certificate, I was like, ‘What did I just do?’” Jenner said last year.

Now, in a new interview with British Vogue, The Kardashians star has let slip her son had a different name before she finally settled on Aire.

“My son’s name was actually Knight for a long time,” Jenner told the magazine, adding her five-year-old daughter Stormi was a fan of the moniker.

“My daughter, still to this day, is like, ‘Do you remember when Aire’s name was Knight?’ And I’m like, ‘No.’ And she’s like, ‘That was so funny, Mum. I like Knight better.’

“And I’m like: ‘You know what, we are not doing this again.’”

Jenner, who is now dating US-French actor Timothee Chalamet, also opened up about the personal reason why she had a difficult time naming her child.

“With my son, it was major baby blues, so I was just so emotional over things that I probably wouldn’t be that emotional about,” she said.

“[I’d be] on the phone with my mum all day hysterically crying, saying, ‘I can’t figure out his name.’

“When I met him, he was just the most beautiful thing to me and I couldn’t believe just how perfect he was. I felt like such a failure that I couldn’t name him,“ she said, ”He deserved so much more than that. It just really triggered me.

“Now my advice to all my friends having children is pick the name before, because when the hormones hit you can’t make decisions. You can’t.”

Having just turned 27, and more than two years after Aire’s birth, Jenner said she was finally feeling like she’d overcome a lengthy struggle with post-partum depression.

“[Looking back] I think, being pregnant, I wore sweatpants every day, I didn’t have time to figure out even some of the little things in my life, and then post-partum lasted a year,” she said.

“Mentally, it’s really hard. Hormonally, it’s really hard.

“I’m going to be 27, and I’m finally feeling like myself again.”
