Kelly Osbourne opens up about relationship with older sister

The eldest of the Osbourne siblings has always been elusive and now Kelly has made a candid confession about her relationship with her little-known sister Aimee.

They may be sisters but Kelly Osbourne has admitted that she and older sister Aimee are not on speaking terms.

Osbourne revealed the surprising revelation during her appearance on Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert.

“We don’t talk” Osbourne said. “We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me and I don’t understand her.”

The eldest of the Osbourne siblings has always stayed out of the limelight. Fans of the MTV series The Osbournes will recall Aimee never appeared on the reality show alongside her famous parents Ozzy and Sharon and siblings Jack and Kelly.

Aimee has spoken a few times about her decision not to appear on the show.

“Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on Earth would I want that portrayed on television? I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable,” she told the UK’s The Independent back in 2015.

“It didn’t matter what I thought, ultimately. This was their path, their decision and they were of course at liberty to take the opportunity. Which they did.”

She also commented on her relationship with her siblings Jack and Aimee.

“I wouldn’t say there is an ease between us, but there is an acceptance. Do we socialise? No.”

Aimee is musician known as ARO. The 37-year-old released her first music in four years in 2020 – a single titled Shared Something With The Night.

Sharon Osbourne told The Talk in 2020: “With Aimee, she doesn’t want to be a celeb. She just wants to do her music and do her creative thing and feel good about it – that’s it.”

Kelly also reflected on her and her brother’s battle with drugs and addiction.

“Jack got way worse than I was quicker, but I didn’t know that in the long run I’d be a bigger problem.”

She added: “I got more work, the more f***ed up I was.”

The star also addressed the controversy surrounding the Framing Britney Spears documentary. She admitted she can’t watch the doco. “This is somebody who is just trying to find a piece of happiness in world of f***ing hell that she is living in.”

Osbourne made headlines last year when she revealed a 40kg weight loss after gastric sleeve surgery. Commenting on her weight, the star told Shepard that despite struggling with addiction, “the thing I got the most sh*t for was being fat”.
