Kate Hudson shares first photo of daughter Rani Rose
HOLLYWOOD star and besotted mum Kate Hudson has revealed the first image of her newborn daughter, who she has already given a cute nickname.
KATE Hudson has shared the first photograph of her newborn daughter, describing her as a “rosebud”.
The besotted Hollywood star, 39, welcomed Rani Rose, her first child with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, on October 2.
Hudson took to Instagram to share a snap of the newborn, who was swaddled in a striped hospital blanket, sleeping blissfully in a bassinet.
The actress is also mother to seven-year-old son Bingham Hawn from her relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and 14-year-old son Ryder Russell from her marriage to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.
In her birth announcement, Hudson explained the sweet meaning behind her daughter’s name, Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.
“We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honour,” Hudson explained on Instagram.
Fujikawa’s father, Ron, died in October 2012.
Hudson and musician Danny Fujikawa, 32, through her friends Sara Foster and Erin Foster, the children of Rebecca Foster, who was Ron’s “devoted companion” in his final decade, according to his obituary.
