JESSICA Simpson’s NFL husband has been mistaking their children for footballs. You won’t believe how high those kids sail through the air.

Eric Johnson, who played for both the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints, is the father to daughter Maxwell, 2, and son Ace, 1.

Simpson clearly believes Johnson is a safe pair of hands, posting the latest image of her new husband throwing Ace up in the pool.

“I was on a plane to NYC today and I missed out on this!!!” she wrote. “I’m in LOVE with the 2 of them. #boyswillbeboys”.

It isn’t the first time she has posted images of Johnson playing ‘catch’ with the kids.

In April, the singer shared a daddy/daughter snap from their day at the beach where Johnson throws Maxwell high in the air.

Then there are other occasions where he simply holds the children like footballs.

“Ace is obsessed with his dad, Maxwell is obsessed with her dad,” Simpson told Access Hollywood. ”I think it’s because he can lift both of them [at the same time]. Eric is the best.”

Simpson, the singer turned fashion designer, was in New York promoting her new children’s line in the Jessica Simpson clothing brand.
