Jennifer Lawrence pregnant, expecting first child with husband Cooke Maroney
The Oscar winning actress is officially set to welcome her first child with husband Cooke Maroney, her representative has confirmed.
Jennifer Lawrence is pregnant, a representative for the US actress has confirmed.
The Hunger Games star, 31, and her art gallerist husband, Cooke Maroney, 37, are officially set to welcome their first child together, People reports.
It was not confirmed when their baby is due.
The couple, who were first linked in 2018 and became engaged after eight months of dating, tied the knot in Rhode Island in October 2019, with Adele, Kris Jenner and Emma Stone among the star-studded guest list.
Despite the Oscar-winning actress’ high profile, the duo have managed to keep their relationship as private as possible and have never attended a red carpet event together.
However Lawrence, who is one of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses worth a cool $217 million, has previously opened up about Maroney in interviews.
“He’s just the best person I’ve ever met in my whole life,” she previously told Entertainment Tonight. “It was a very, very easy decision (to marry him).”
While appearing on Catt Sadler’s podcast, NAKED, in June 2019, Lawrence said, “I met Cooke, and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully. And, you know, he’s my best friend. I feel very honoured to become a Maroney,” she added.
Lawrence was previously in relationships with British actor Nicholas Hoult from 2010 to 2014, musician and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin from June 2014 to August 2015 and director Darren Aronofsky from August 2016 to October 2017.
It comes as she is finally set to return to the big screen for the first time since X-Men: Dark Phoenix in 2019, starring in Netflix’s upcoming dark comedy Don’t Look Up, which will be released on December 24.
The film co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio, 46, who reportedly earned a $40 million salary, according to Variety, while Lawrence received a staggering $34 million.
Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Mark Rylance and Cate Blanchett also appear in the movie.
