‘Don’t you know who she is?’: Madonna’s daughter denied in embarrassing video
Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon was denied entry to a Marc Jacobs fashion show in New York City by security in a now viral video.
Lourdes Leon, the daughter of pop icon Madonna, was denied entry to Thursday’s Marc Jacobs fashion show in Manhattan.
The 26-year-old was met with firm security guards who seemingly told her she was too late when she arrived at the Park Avenue Armory after the doors closed, according to a now-viral TikTok video.
The rejection hits harder for Lourdes, a former campaign star for the label whose mom “has a long-storied history” with Marc Jacobs, as the brand once shared in a press release.
In the clip posted by @mickmicknyc, the “nepo baby” — whom Madonna welcomed in 1996 with then-boyfriend Carlos Leon — walked up to the building when she was stopped by security on her way into the venue.
A male voice in the video narrates that Lourdes arrived at the venue at 6pm sharp, which also happened to be the exact time the show was due to kick off.
After deliberating with security, Lourdes and a man she arrived with were told that the event was “closed.”
The crowd then began chanting “Let her in,” before another bystander asked the security guard, “You don’t know who she is?”
Unfortunately for the aspiring singer, the security team didn’t budge, forcing her to turn around and head back to the car.
The Marc Jacobs show saw a star-studded guest list including Emily Ratajkowski, Nicky Hilton Rothschild and Ashley Graham.
Lourdes and her famous mom have been spotted together in several front rows, most recently attending Tom Ford’s show during New York Fashion Week in September 2022; they also hit LaQuan Smith’s afterparty that season.
In June last year, Lourdes walked the runway to close out Marine Serre’s runway show in Paris.
The Queen of Pop’s eldest child has been making major waves in the style world since walking her first runway for Gypsy Sport at New York Fashion Week in 2018.
Over the past few years, the starlet appeared in campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Swarovski, Parade’s collaboration with Juicy Couture — and, perhaps most fittingly, Madonna favourite Jean Paul Gaultier.
Leon’s also become a muse of sorts for Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty underwear brand, having walked in the label’s third runway show in 2021.
And she scored her first Vogue cover in the summer of 2021, appearing alongside the likes of Bella Hadid and Cindy Crawford’s daughter, Kaia Gerber.
