Sister of Nick and Aaron Carter Bobbie Jean dead at 41

The Carter family still reeling form the death of Aaron last year is now experiencing another tragedy.

The sister of pop singers Nick and Aaron Carter, Bobbie Jean Carter, has died aged 41.

Their mother, Jane Carter, told TMZ she was in “shock from learning of the sudden death” of her daughter before saying she needed time to process this “terrible reality”.

She asked for prayers for her granddaughter Bella, Bobbie Jean’s eight-year-old daughter, who recently also lost her father.

The circumstances of Bobbie Jean’s death remain unclear.

Bobbie Jean was a wardrobe stylist and make-up artist for Aaron Carter’s tours in the early 2000s.

In the years since she featured in the E! reality TV show, ‘House of Carters’ in eight episodes.

She suffered from addiction and substance abuse over the years which she continued to battle in her later adulthood.

The Carter family has been marked by tragedy over the last few years.

Aaron Carter died last year, aged 34.

The late musician died from drowning and the effects of difluoroethane, a flammable gas that is often used as the propellant in cans of compressed air, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax, according a copy of his autopsy report obtained by Page Six. The manner of death was ruled accidental.

Another sister, Leslie Carter, died in 2012 as a result of an overdose.
