Betty White thanks fans for their support in final video filmed before her death
The last clip ever filmed of Betty White has been revealed, with fans remarking that it seemed eerily like a “farewell video”.
Betty White was full of love for her fans right up until the end.
The last scene the iconic star ever recorded has been revealed, and it sees Betty thanking her fans for their support throughout her remarkable career.
It was filmed for documentary about her life released last week to coincide with her 100th birthday.
While the legendary Golden Girls actress appears frail in the clip, which was filmed shortly before she died on New Year’s Eve last year, her signature warmth is clearly evident.
“I just want to thank you all for your love and support over the years. Thank you so much … and stick around!,” Betty says in the clip shared on Channel 7’s The Morning Show today.

On Twitter, many have remarked that it seemed like a “farewell” video, suggesting Betty knew she was soon to pass.
“I think she already knew she was leaving us soon after, her voice & her weight loss said a lot! She seemed sound minded, but she also seems in acceptance & in peace w/what it was about to come,” one fan wrote.
“I think she knew, seems like a good bye video,” another wrote.
“Betty knew … I’m glad she went peacefully and is now reunited with her beloved Allen,” one more said.
Earlier this month, the actress’ leaked death certificate confirmed she had a stroke six days before she died.
Last week, Betty’s assistant celebrated what would have been her 100th birthday by sharing the final photo of her, in which she is wearing the same green outfit as the video.
“Hello Everyone! It’s Kiersten. Betty’s assistant,” she wrote in a post shared via Betty’s official Facebook page.
“On this special day, I wanted to share this photo of Betty. It was taken on 12/20/21. I believe it’s one of the last photos of her,” Kiersten continued.
“She was radiant and beautiful and as happy as ever.”
In the picture, the legendary Golden Girls actor is seen sitting in a floral-printed chair, sporting a bright green ensemble, sparkling jewellery, a full face of makeup and a wide smile.
“Thanks to all of you who are doing kind things today and every day to make the world a better place,” Kiersten concluded the tribute to her former boss.
Notable names in Hollywood also shared sweet messages dedicated to Betty on her special day, including Morgan Freeman.
“Life is precious, and so are the friends that we meet along the way,” the actor tweeted alongside a photo of himself sharing the stage with White. “Happy Heavenly Birthday tomorrow Betty White! You will always be treasured!”
Google also honoured Betty on her birthday by showering its search page with rose petals, a nod to Rose, her character from The Golden Girls.
The showbiz icon of more than eight decades died at the age of 99 on December 31.
The Emmy winner’s cause of death was listed as a cerebrovascular accident — otherwise known as a stroke — in a Los Angeles County Department of Public Health document, obtained by TMZ earlier this month.
