Former ‘Glee’ producer says male actors were as bad as Lea Michele

A former Glee producer has weighed in to the Lea Michele drama with another bombshell, claiming the male stars were just as “bad”.

Former Glee producer Marti Noxon has waded into the Lea Michele bullying controversy — and revealed there were many other stars who were just as bad as her on set.

In a now-deleted tweet, Noxon wrote, “Re: @LeaMichele. Hey, I’m all for calling out bad behaviour and even for some schadenfreude when that behaviour is punished. That said, on GLEE there were LOTS of bad actors. Who were NOT women. People in the industry know who I’m talking about. Why aren’t we calling them out?”

She added, “It seems to me that women are the first to go under the bus. But a lot of males get away with being the bullies-in-chief. How come we let them get away with it? Maybe it’s because as long as they earn someone money, they get a pass.”

Noxon, who found fame as a writer and executive producer on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was quizzed by a follower to name names, but replied, “I’m going to leave that to my male allies. It’s their turn.”

Shortly after posting the message, Noxon deleted the tweets, although it was captured in a screenshot by Page Six.

Michele, 33, who’s expecting her first child, was forced to apologise after being accused by Glee co-star Samantha Ware of making her time on the show a “living hell”.

Her apology came after Ware – who played Jane Hayward on the hit musical series for its sixth season in 2015 – responded to a tweet written by Michele amid the riots in the US, claiming the actor made her time on the show a “living hell”.

In an all-caps response to Michele’s post, Ware wrote that she would “never forget” the “traumatic microagressions” she claims to have received from the star – including a shocking allegation that she had “told everyone that if you had the opportunity you would ‘sh*t in my wig’.”

Shortly after she posted her tweet, food delivery brand HelloFresh announced it was ending its partnership with Michele, declaring it “does not condone racism nor discrimination of any kind” while a number of other Glee stars publicly backed up Ware’s allegations.
