THE former model who used to be married to Peter Andre has had a bad 12 months. From bankruptcy to a house fire, here’s how it all went wrong for Katie Price.
KATIE Price’s recent drink-driving arrest is just another low point in a long, nightmare year for the troubled star.
After reportedly being allowed a “night-off” last week for her daytime treatment for cocaine use at the famous Priory clinic, Katie was arrested for drink-driving and spent a night in prison.
The Sun reports the former glamour model, who turned 40 in May, looked a shell of her former feisty self as she checked into The Priory two weeks ago, after revealing how her year from hell has left her battling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
After becoming embroiled in bitter battles with her three ex-husbands, being betrayed by her most recent toy boy ex and being caught on film rapping about how much she loves coke, Katie’s entire 2018 has been one big nightmare.
JANUARY: Katie’s marriage breaks down as she’s branded a ‘mess’
Katie’s year got off to a horrific start as cracks began to show in her marriage to third husband Kieran Hayler, father of her two youngest children, four-year-old Bunny and three-year-old Jett.
While she posted a throwback of their wedding day with the caption: “five years”, Katie chose to spend the day in Brighton with her eldest son Harvey.
Her marriage turmoil came to a head at the end of the month, when Katie was seen without her wedding ring having a boozy night at a club in Bangor, Wales.
Partygoers branded her “a mess” as she grinded on them, insinuated sex acts and joked about being pregnant.
It all came against the tragic backdrop of her mum Amy’s illness, and on January 4 Katie appeared on talk show Loose Women to explain how she had needed to seek help from a doctor after breaking down on air in December.
Amy Price was diagnosed with terminal lung condition idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in September last year, and Katie has understandably struggled to cope.
FEBRUARY: Driving ban, ‘f***ed up’ facelift and revenge porn allegations
In February, Katie was banned from driving for six months after being caught doing 95km/h on the 80km/h A24 in her famous hot pink Land Rover, worth $140,000.
Her ban follows her mysterious absence from her slot on The Victoria Derbyshire show on February 4.
Despite launching a petition in the House of Commons to end online trolling, after her son Harvey was viciously abused online, Katie was forced to pull out after a ‘f***ed up’ facelift.
Just four days later, it was revealed police were investigating “revenge porn” allegations made by her ex-husband Alex Reid.
The former cage fighter, who split from Katie in 2011, accused her of showing a video of him performing a lewd sex act to a live studio audience during an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.
Katie’s Sussex mansion also appeared on Keith Lemon’s Through The Keyhole, and was dubbed a “s**thole” because of its swamp-like pool, rubbish everywhere, neglected tennis courts and horse droppings covering the driveway.
MARCH: Cancelled tour as sales flop
With the second leg of her tour looming, Katie announced she was ditching all forthcoming dates of An Audience With Katie Price due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
It later emerged that her planned “tell-all” show at the Brighton Hippodrome on March 4 had been ditched as only 225 of the 952 tickets had been sold.
Katie is also said to have fallen out with ex-husband Peter Andre after she reportedly failed to tell him about their 13-year-old son Junior’s fashion deal.
APRIL: Marathon dropout, fan backlash and problems with Peter Andre
The start of April was once again blighted with relationship trouble.
This time, Katie revealed in an interview with OK! magazine that her relationship with ex-husband Peter Andre had become so strained that he refused to text her at all without looping in his current wife Emily.
Katie continued to open up about husband Kieran Hayler’s “mental health problems” but revealed she was still fighting to save their marriage.
Later that month, Katie was forced to pull out of the London Marathon — which she was running to raise awareness for her mum’s condition — after suffering from a knee injury three hours in.
Her lung costume had to be carried to the finish line by police and she faced backlash from fans who accused her of not training for the race.
MAY: Katie meets ‘fame hungry’ new boyfriend Kris Boyson
After vowing to save her marriage to Kieran, Katie went public with new boyfriend Kris Boyson, 29, who is a former reality TV star of Five Star Hotel and Meet The Parents.
Just a fortnight later, Kris’s ex warned Katie he is a “serial cheat” and a “fame hungry liar” after she claimed she was still with him on the night he met Katie.
Alex Reid was granted a High Court injunction against Katie over the private footage and photographs.
JUNE: Cheating revelations emerge as Pete takes the kids
In a joint interview with Kris, Katie revealed she finally split from Kieran after discovering he had cheated on her again with a “19-year-old who works at the (British supermarket chain) Co-op” and added that she found messages to an ex on his mobile phone.
“Right now, I feel like I’ve wasted five years of my life with him,” she said.
Although her relationship with Kris appeared solid, reports emerged that Peter Andre was concerned about Katie introducing new men to the children, after a video on Instagram emerged of Kris encouraging Harvey to swear.
Katie later confirmed the children were living with Pete so she could work through her divorce from Kieran, and that he had “banned them” from attending her 40th birthday party.
The former model also hinted at financial woes as she put a lot of children’s clothes up for sale on eBay, with prices starting from $18.
JULY: Katie poses naked as friends say she has turned to Class A drugs
Fans slammed Katie with one calling her a “washed up old sea hag” as she posed completely naked on a beach in Koh Samui, Thailand with Kris.
Friends also revealed how Katie had been “pushed to the edge” by her split from Kieran and has turned to “Class A drugs”.
A source told The Sun: “Katie has admitted she dabbled in cocaine to numb her pain. Her behaviour got a bit wild and she was boozing too much, and on a couple of occasions took cocaine. The drug is obviously quite widespread in certain social circles and friends introduced her to it.
“She used it when she’d been drinking and it was her way of coping, to blot things out.”
Katie was due to be summoned back to court after breaking her driving ban.
She blamed her “emotional rollercoaster” of a year for getting back behind the wheel.
AUGUST: Hit by bankruptcy revelations
It was revealed in August how Katie has squandered her $85 million fortune and had until October before she would be declared bankrupt.
A source told The Sun: “Katie is well aware she has cash flow problems.”
Katie appeared at Guildford Magistrates’ court in Surrey on August 23 and although it was unclear why she was in court, her lawyers appeared at London’s High Court earlier in August to stave of bankruptcy until October.
SEPTEMBER: Misses Bunny’s first day of school for ‘cocaine shame holiday’
Katie announced her split from Kris after sources revealed he had bragged about having sex in the sea with her in Thailand and reportedly asked for payment for appearing in her reality show My Crazy Life.
On the same day he announced their split on Instagram, Katie was spotted clubbing in Majorca with new boyfriend Alex Adderson, 25.
Back in the UK, Katie missed her children’s first day back at school as she carried on her sun-soaked trip.
A source told The Sun how Katie had told friends she had lost her phone so was unable to contact the children but added: “The behaviour is wearing very thin for her friends and family.”
A week later, Katie was back on a hen do in Majorca when a video of her was released rapping: “I love coke, you know, it gets me in the air.”
She was also snapped next to a bag of what looked to be cocaine on the table.
The shocking footage was reportedly filmed by two German holiday-makers who had gone back to their apartment with Katie to “have a shower, get cosy and take drugs”.
Following the scandal, Katie was seen checking into The Priory rehab clinic as it was revealed she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Back home, her youngest son Jett’s bedroom caught on fire, as sources claimed she had bought scented candles to mask the smell of cat wee and because she couldn’t afford to pay the electricity bill.
OCTOBER: Arrested on suspicion of drunk-driving and facing bankruptcy
Four days after entering rehab on September 25, Katie “checked out” to attend a close friend’s wedding but was spotted drinking from a bottle of water and driving.
Last weekend Katie also left to have dinner with Alex at local Italian Le Piazza in Hove, where onlookers said she looked “agitated”.
Although insiders claimed Katie had not been drinking while attending ex Kris Boyson’s birthday party at a Turkish restaurant in southeast London, it was later revealed that she had been arrested on suspicion of drink driving in the early hours of this morning.
With another court appearance on October 30 in order to prove how she will fulfil her IVA payments for bankruptcy, Katie could now be facing yet another charge — and the end of her year could be looking even more bleak.
