Aaron was left fuming by the decision, with the outlet reporting he shouted he would buy more guns out of state in retaliation, reports The Sun.
He also tried to leave the courtroom after the order was made but was told to remain seated by the judge.
The star has been banned from contacting Angel or her family for a year and also isn’t allowed to visit LA’s The Grove shopping centre where Angel’s husband works.
In September, it was reported Aaron bought a handgun, assault rifle and a box of ammunition from a California pawn shop days before it’s alleged he threatened to kill brother Nick’s pregnant wife.
The spending spree came a week before Backstreet Boy star Nick, 39, was granted a restraining order against his brother after alleging he threatened to kill his wife Lauren Kitt.
However, Aaron hit back at the claims by tweeting he was “astounded” by the accusations.
He said: “I do not wish harm to anyone, especially my family.”
In one snap outside the pawn shop, the star can be seen heading to his car while carrying the weapon as shop assistants follow behind him.
They loaded the weapons into the boot of his Range Rover before one of the workers returned with a box of ammo.
A third picture showed Aaron holding the gun near the boot of his car.
Aaron also inherited his late father’s weapons collection, which he claimed totalled 500 guns.
Aaron lashed out at Nick on social media, tweeting: “So my brother just got a restraining order against me. And I was just served lol.”
According to TMZ, Aaron has to stay at least 30 metres away from Nick, Nick’s wife and kids and other family members.
In a statement released online, Nick confirmed he had obtained the order against his younger brother.
He wrote: “In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behaviour and his recent confession that he harbours thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family.”
Nick went on to say he hoped his brother would get the “proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else”.
The incident led to Aaron telling his brother that he did not want to see him again.
He wrote: “Take care. @nickcarter we’re done for life,” before claiming he hadn’t seen his brother in four years and did not intend seeing him again.
Aaron revealed on TV that he had been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety and manic depression.
He told US show The Doctors: “I’m prescribed Xanax, Seroquel, Gabapentin, Hydroxyzine, Trazodone, Omeprazole.”
