Celebrities, executives head to Southern Highlands for Peter Stefanovic, Sylvia Jeffrey’s wedding
CELEBRITIES will head south for Sylvia Jeffreys and Peter Stefanovic’s destination wedding this weekend — but Karl Stefanovic’s ex-wife is not on the guest list.
KARL Stefanovic’s ex-wife has been left off the guest list for his brother’s wedding this weekend, The Daily Telegraph understands.
Media bigwigs and the celeb set are set to descend on the NSW Southern Highlands for the wedding of morning television royalty, Sylvia Jeffreys and Peter Stefanovic — but Karl’s wife of 21 years Cassandra Thorburn did not score an invite.
Karl’s younger girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough will also not attend the festivities, thanks to a ban put in place by Jeffreys.
The bride-to-be was seen outside her home on Sydney’s north shore yesterday getting ready to leave for the destination wedding.
Her groom was snapped yesterday already at the venue at Kangaroo Valley.
Scheduled for Saturday, the nuptials will see the likes of Richard and Christian Wilkins, Lisa Wilkinson and other key talent at the Nine Network turn out to celebrate the union of two of their own.
The Daily Telegraph expects Stefanovic’s older brother Karl — whose propensity for hijinks is well known — will play a key role in the ceremony.
Yarbrough this week flew to Hong Kong, ostensibly on a buying trip for her footwear business Mara & Mine.
Australian designer Rebecca Vallance is thought to be creating Jeffreys’ gown for the occasion.
The two Nine reporters met on the set of Today over the Christmas period of 2014, and started dating soon thereafter, with Stefanovic wooing his future bride with love letters.
He proposed while both were in Bordeaux on a European sojourn last year.
“He was on one knee in a vineyard and popped the question,” Jeffreys said at the time.
