THE case against Hollywood’s most famous dogs has been heard in court.
Neither Boo or Pistol — nor their celebrity owners Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, were present at Southport Magistrates Court for the brief legal argument on the case which threatened to cause a major doglomatic incident between Australia and the US.
The trouble started while the glamour couple — and their owners — were on the Gold Coast for filming of the Pirates of the Caribbean blockbuster Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Heard was charged with two allegations of illegal importation and one count of producing a false document under the Quarantine Act. The maximum penalty is 12 months jail or a $10,200 fine.
Federal Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce famously issued the celebrity canines with a 72-hour ultimatum to get out of the country or face death by lethal injection.
The pampered pooches took their own private flight back to LA.
In court this morning, Heard’s legal team asked for the case to be adjourned until November 16.
