Cardi B revealed she’s pregnant during BET awards performance

The rapper turned heads at the BET awards as she surprised fans with the news that she is expecting baby number two.

Cardi B is pregnant with her second child. The rapper revealed the news while performing with her husband Offset and his group Migos on Sunday evening at the BET Awards.

Cardi, 28, performed Type S**t with the group, appearing on stage wearing a custom Dolce & Gabbana black bodysuit covered in rhinestones with a sheer area exposing her growing baby bump.

Cardi also took to Instagram to share a revealing photo of her bump. The picture showed the rapper topless, covered in white paint with the caption that read “#2”. The Instagram post went live simultaneously with the performance.

The couple are already parents to daughter, Kulture Kiari, who turns 3 in July. Cardi announced her pregnancy with Kulture in a similar fashion – during a 2018 SNL performance. Offset, 29, is also a dad to three other children, Kalea, Kody and Jordan, from previous relationships.

At the end of the couple’s performance, host Taraji P. Henson joked, “Cardi B and Offset, giving us life – literally.”

The couple were married in September 2017, though they’ve seen their fair share of ups and downs, including starting divorce procedures last September.

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, requested to end her marriage, but the couple reconciled in November and enjoyed a romantic holiday for Valentine’s Day earlier this year.

Offset’s group Migos was nominated for best group at the BETs, while Cardi won video of the year for WAP and was up for three more awards at Sunday’s show.
