‘Can everyone leave me alone?’ Miley Cyrus’ perfect response to baby rumours
After the internet went wild with reports the singer and Liam Hemsworth were expecting, Miley has broken her silence in the best way.
While Miley Cyrus isn’t pregnant one thing is certain; the girl likes puns.
On Thursday OK! magazine was the first to report that Cyrus was expecting, with an unnamed source even claiming: “It’s a girl, which is what she and Liam hoped for.”
The magazine’s report was quickly picked up by other news outlets across the world and before long the internet was buzzing with the prospect of a Hemsworth/Cyrus bub being on the way.
Only problem was, the story wasn’t true, with Cyrus herself correcting the record on social media.
Taking to Twitter, the Wrecking Ball singer brushed off the rumours while simultaneously making fun of the fact that an egg surpassed Kylie Jenner’s post as the most liked photo on Instagram this week.
“I’m not ‘Egg-xpecting’ but it’s ‘Egg-cellent’ to hear everyone is so ‘Happy For Us,’’’ Cyrus tweeted.
“We’re happy for us too! ‘Egg-cited’ for this next chapter in our lives … Now, can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg.”

Last month Hemsworth and Cyrus married in a secret wedding that was accidentally revealed on social media by an Australian guest.
The pair tied the knot in a small ceremony at their home in Tennessee surrounded by family and friends.
An insider close to the singer told People the marriage was brought on by the loss of their Malibu home during the California wildfires last year.
“They don’t have doubts about their relationship,” the source said. “They both wanted to get married. They have both matured a lot, and it seemed like the perfect time for them to get married.”
Hemsworth and Cyrus have dated since 2009, after meeting while filming romantic movie The Last Song.
The high-profile couple originally became engaged in 2012 when Cyrus was just 19 and Hemsworth was 22.
But they split in 2013, with Cyrus admitting at the time the couple had been too young to get engaged.
Hemsworth and Cyrus later reunited in early 2016 when they were spotting in Byron Bay alongside Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky.
Speaking to Billboard in 2017, Cyrus said she and Hemsworth had to “re-fall” back in love with each other after their split.
“I needed to change so much. And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard,” Cyrus said. “Suddenly you’re like, ‘I don’t recognise you anymore.’ We had to re-fall for each other.”
