Brooke Shields heads into 2020 bikini ready and in top ‘Blue Lagoon’ form

Brooke Shields has greeted the New Year by showing off her body in stunning bikini snaps and you won’t believe how the ’80s Blue Lagoon star has transformed herself.

Brooke Shields is heading into 2020 looking abs-olutely fabulous.

The 54-year-old actress showcased her sculpted physique as she stripped down to a bikini to pay homage to one of her most iconic roles.

According to The Sun, the exceptional beauty shared a snap of herself looking toned, as she walked out of the ocean in Puerto Rico, to her Instagram account on Monday.

“Another blue lagoon,” the actress captioned the shot, referring to her lead role as Emmeline Lestrange in The Blue Lagoon, which came out in 1980.

Her stunning beach appearance garnered appreciation from several of her famous friends in her comments section.

“Shut the f*** up,” actor Alan Cumming wrote.

“🔥🔥🔥” supermodel Cindy Crawford added.

While Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford commented: “Beautiful ♥️”

Last year, Shields said she’s more comfortable in a bikini now than she ever was in her 20s.

“Growing up under such scrutiny led me to feel insecure about my looks,” Shields told People as she discussed her new bikini campaign for Swimsuits for All.

“Feeling disconnected from my own body, it took me years to separate the opinions of others from my own. Over time, I was able to find confidence in myself through my work, my passions, my network of strong female role models and my journey through motherhood,” she said.

She continued: “At 52 years old, I finally feel comfortable and proud of the all the hard work I’ve put into my body. I can say that I feel confident being in my own skin, showing my body and not hiding it.”

“When I was younger, I never loved being in a swimsuit because I picked apart the way I looked in them. I would always find a way to cover up,” she shared with the publication, adding: “Now, I feel most confident when I’m showing off my body rather than hiding it.”

Shields’ modelling career began when she starred in an Ivory Soap ad at 11 months old. At 14, she became the youngest model to appear on the cover of Vogue.

She’s next on screen in the comedy My Boyfriend’s Meds, in February 2020.
