Britney Spears bares almost all in the latest of her many Instagram dance videos, strutting for the camera in nothing but tiny, see-through lingerie – which she then suggestively starts to peel off.
The pop star, 42, dances to the Rihanna hit Unfaithful in the new video, posted to her 42 million Instagram followers today with only some flower emojis as a caption.
Confusingly, Spears’ name on Instagram is now “XILA MARIA RIVER RED,” and she describes herself in her Insta bio as an “artist, mama, chef in the works” who “pray[s] every day”.
Spears’ racy new video came after her ex-husband Sam Asghari made rare comments about her at a red carpet event last week, refusing to confirm whether or not they still talk and instead saying: “I just wish her the best.”
Spears and Asghari started dating shortly after he appeared in her Slumber Party music video in 2016 and eventually married in 2022, in a star-studded ceremony attended by the likes of Madonna, Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore.
But their union was to be short-lived: the couple split just one year later, citing irreconcilable differences.
In April this year, Spears reached a settlement in her legal battle with her father, Jamie Spears.
Her father controlled her life using a conservatorship for some 14 years, a controversial arrangement that finally came to an end in November 2021.
Spears told her story about life under the conservatorship in her top-selling 2023 memoir The Woman In Me. The book sold more than a million copies in its first week.
While the details of Spears’ ongoing legal entanglement with her father were not made public, her lawyer Mathew Rosengart said in an April statement that she was relieved to put the matter behind her now and get on with her life.
“Although the conservatorship was terminated in November, 2021, her wish for freedom is now truly complete. As she desired, her freedom now includes that she will no longer need to attend or be involved with court or entangled with legal proceedings in this matter,” he said.
“Britney Spears won when the court suspended her father, and Britney Spears won when her fundamental rights and civil liberties were restored.”
