Their posts come a week after Bindi shared a sweet video of her daughter. The clip showed Grace walking up to a mural of Steve, his wife Terri and a koala bear.

In the background of the video, Bindi can be heard asking the one-year-old questions, including “Where is Grandpa Crocodile?” before the toddler pointed to Steve Irwin on the mural.

“Tears in my eyes as I share this video,” she captioned the post.

“We call my mum and dad, Bunny and Grandpa Crocodile with Grace. She loves them (and koalas) dearly.

“On every zoo walk she searches for pictures of her grandparents and it is beyond beautiful.”

Steve died in 2006 at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef. Bindi was 8 at the time, while Robert was just 2.

Last year, Bindi opened up about not being able to share her life’s milestones with her father in her TV special, Crikey! It’s a Baby.

“It’s hard knowing that [Grace will] never get to actually meet him and it’s devastating because I’ll never get to watch their connection,” she told the program.

“But, I can not wait to be able to tell beautiful Grace all of these stories about dad, to be able to share with her what an amazing father he was.

“It’s going to be really special for her to know him through us, to tell her about what an amazing man he was,” she added.

“But I think in a way he is still with us. And his heart and soul lives on in all of us and, so yeah, he’s never really gone.”
