UPDATE: Australia's Woman's Day have confirmed they will also publish pregnant Kate photos

The Italian gossip magazine Chi has published the photographs, splashing images of Catherine in a bright blue bikini and sporting a clear baby bump on the cover.

St. James's Palace slammed the photos as a "clear breach of the couple's right to privacy."

“We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas”, a spokesman said.

Italy's Chi magazine has published pictures of the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge on holiday in the Caribbean, sparking outrage.

The photos show the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge - the former Kate Middleton - wearing a bikini and strolling on a beach with William on the island of Caribbean island of Mustique.

Last year, William and Catherine went to court over a French gossip magazine's publication of topless photos of the duchess while the couple was on holiday in the south of France.

The new photos are said to show a pregnant Kate Middleton walking in the water with Prince William on the beach island of Mustique.

According to the Sunday People, the photos, which they claimed they decided not to view, also show Kate's sister Pippa in a bikini.

While British media will not publish the controversial pictures, it is believed they could spark a bidding war in other parts of the world to purchase them.

The reports of new photos come after the scandal surrounding the publication of paparazzi shots last September which showed the 31-year-old sunbathing topless in the south of France.

The royal couple flew into the exclusive Caribbean island of Mustique last week and are reportedly staying in a villa that costs £19,000 ($29,000) a week to rent.

The holiday, which is being described as a "babymoon", is a family affair, with Catherine's family, including her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, said to be staying in a nearby villa.
