Ariana Grande sets record straight on cosmetic surgery rumours
She’s been the subject of cosmetic surgery rumours for years, and now, Ariana Grande has set the record straight on what work she has and hasn’t had done.
Ariana Grande divulged all of the cosmetic procedures she has had to accomplish her youthful glow — and set the record straight on rhinoplasty rumours.
The US singer, 31, shed some light on her beauty tactics while sitting for a lie-detector test with Vanity Fair in a video.
“Did you ever get any work done to feel more popular?” Grande’s Wicked co-star, Cynthia Erivo, asked the pop star in the intrusive segment.
Grande expressed her excitement for being able to address plastic surgery speculation, telling Erivo, “thank goodness,” before denying ever having several procedures.
The Grammy-winning artist denied getting a nose job and a boob job — with the polygraph examiner confirming that she was telling the truth.
“Did you get a facelift?” Erivo questioned, prompting Grande to say, “No, not yet. I’m open.”
“This is the best day of my life. Take that you YouTube people,” Grande said, slamming the haters who have accused her of manufacturing her features in an operating room.
The R.E.M. Beauty founder also shared that she did not get a “fox eye lift” and that she had never heard of that particular procedure until she was wrongly accused of getting one.
“I discovered it through people who thought I did and I said thank you,” she joked.
When Erivo asked if Grande had a chin implant, Grande furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, asking, “How do they do that?”
Grande did cop to having fillers and Botox “in various places” but that she stopped getting jabbed “like four years ago.”
“That is the extent,” Grande said, noting that she is “in full support of all people who do these things.”
“Whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed,” Grande said, asking, “Why do we care?”
The former teen star then asked if she has ever gotten a Brazilian Butt Lift, prompting her to cackle and respond, “Get the f**k out of here.”
“Yes,” Grande joked, to which the polygraph examiner said, “She’s being deceptive.”
Grande confirmed that she would never get a BBL, saying, “That wouldn’t work for me. I don’t think that’s my thing and I’m OK with that, you know?”
This isn’t the first time that Grande has been open about the work she’s had and famously held back tears while admitting to getting “a ton” of lip filler last September.
“Full transparency, as a beauty person, as I do my lips, [I’ve] had a ton of lip filler over the years and Botox. I stopped in 2018 because I just felt so … [it was] too much. I just felt like hiding, you know,” she said in a Vogue video at the time.
“I didn’t expect to get emotional,” she continued, as her eyes welled up. “For a long time, beauty was about hiding for me, and now I feel like maybe it’s not since I stopped getting fillers and Botox.”
Instead, Grande shared that she wanted to embrace natural ageing and her “well-earned cry lines and smile lines.”
“[Ageing] can be such a beautiful thing,” she said. “Now, might I get a facelift in 10 years? Might, yeah, but these are just thoughts that I feel like we should be able to discuss. If we’re sitting here talking about beauty secrets, f**k it, let’s lay it all out there.”
The makeup mogul also previously shared how she used hair and makeup as a way to hide her features instead of enhancing her natural beauty.
“Our relationships to beauty are so personal. Like, we’re here talking about beauty secrets. Isn’t the secret that we all just wanna feel our best and be loved?” she asked.
