Andy Lee drops bizarre shower confession live on-air
The Australian comedian has dropped a truly odd private detail during an interview on-air, giving insight into his peculiar shower habits.
It’s certainly nice to be close with your parents, but showering in front of them? That’s a whole new level.
Aussie comedian Andy Lee has revealed he is completely comfortable being nude around his mother and father, Margaret and Michael Lee. In fact, he said he has conversations with them while he’s having a tub.
The 41-year-old TV host made the bizarre revelation in an interview on Hit Network’s Carrie & Tommy show Tuesday afternoon, in which he asked co-hosts Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little if they were “comfortable” being in their birthday suit in front of their parents.
Lee said the question comes up on tonight’s episode of his Channel 9 show, The Hundred.
“I found out I was in the minority, we tackle nudity tonight … I don’t like to get naked [in front of my parents] but dad will chat to me, or mum will chat to me, if I’m in the shower, and vice versa,” Lee said, with Bickmore and Little both agreeing it’s not something they’re in the habit of.
“That’s the thing about this show … You find out things about yourself you thought everyone else was doing.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Lee revealed some behind the scenes detail about his recent magazine shoot.
The radio personality, who appeared on the cover of Stellar magazine on Sunday, said his face had to be Photoshopped in the spread, which he featured in alongside his long-term girlfriend Rebecca Harding.
Lee said he was suffering from a medical condition during the glamorous shoot which caused his face to swell.
“I had shingles … Adult chickenpox. It happens mainly in old people which is worrying for me,” he said.
“It puffed by face up, so they had to Photoshop my face for the Stellar Mag, and hats off to them.
“I was grateful for them de-puffing my face on the right hand side.”
