JOHNNY Depp is reportedly refusing to pay a $US6.8 million divorce settlement to Amber Heard after the actress spoke out about domestic violence.

JOHNNY Depp is reportedly refusing to pay a $US6.8 million divorce settlement to Amber Heard after the actress spoke out about domestic violence.

Documents news by the Mail Online show Depp has put a hold on the payment, which Heard has said she will donate to two charities.

She has reportedly hit back with a “request for order”, which would require a judge to demand the payment is made.

The documents claim that Depp has failed to pay the first two instalments, refused to give Heard a time when she can collect her belongings from their West Hollywood home and still hasn’t transferred the title of a Range Rover.

Depp is reportedly angry about Heard’s comments in Porter magazine in which she alludes to being a sufferer of domestic violence. Heard filed for divorce from Depp in May after she produced photos showing bruises and claimed that he had been violent during their relationship.

“I want to remind you of your strength, a strength that has been multiplied by the number of women who stand silently behind you — a truth that allowed me to break down the doors I once found myself behind,” she wrote. “I never felt anyone would or could rescue me, so naturally I resented the label of victim.”

In a joint statement to announce their divorce settlement, the former couple said: “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love.

“Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm,” they said.
