PRINCE George has landed his first ever Vanity Fair cover.

The tiny royal, who is gearing up to celebrate his first birthday on July 22, appears on the cover of Vanity Fair’s August 2014 issue alongside his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

While we’re not sure about the tag line - ‘World’s most eligable infant’ - there’s no doubt the toddler is a complete pro. In the family portrait he smiles cheekily across at his dad, Prince William, while mum Kate cradles him in her arms.

Prince George is officially the first baby to grace the cover of the famous mag since Suri Cruise. Back in 2006, six-month-old Suri made her highly-anticipated debut with her parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

The candid photo of the royal clan was actually taken from the family’s recent Australian tour back in April. This one in particular is from their visit to Sydney’s Taronga Zoo to meet George the bilby.

The Vanity Fair birthday tribute to little George reveals new details about the royal family’s private life at Kensington Palace, including his eating and sleeping habits.

A royal insider tells: “[Former] Nanny Jessie Webb tried hard to get him into a routine, but the baby prince, who was still breastfeeding, was permanently hungry.”

The cover story also divulges that another royal bub could be on the way soon.

One thing is for sure, baby George sure knows how to turn it on for the cameras.
