IF HOLLYWOOD ever thinks about remaking Gone with the Wind, it’s already got a couple of audition tapes to pick from. But there’s a twist.

W magazine got 29 actors who are up for big awards this year to recreate the iconic final dialogue between the film’s characters Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler — originally played by Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable.

But to shake things up, the ladies performed Clark Gable’s lines and the gents read Vivien Leigh’s.

Actors including Bradley Cooper, Samuel L. Jackson, Eddie Redmayne and Bryan Cranston put their timid side on display with the line, “Where shall I go? What should I do?”

And actresses including Cate Blanchett, Amy Schumer, Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie all got to slam down the tough response: “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn”.

At the beginning of the clip, Blanchett jokes she “can’t act” before saying the line with deliberately clunky delivery.

“Frankly ... my I dear ... I don’t give a damn! ‘See, this is why the men say the lines’, is what people are going to say when they see this. Are you setting me up?” she jokes.

Kristen Wiig gives perhaps the best delivery, pretending to see a hot guy while saying the line before dropping the “damnnnn”.

The video is part of a W magazine series called “Casting Call” with actors recreating famous scenes.

And if you’re not satisfied with the above performances, maybe just enjoy the original.
