Sandra Bullock is named People’s Most Beautiful Woman for 2015

SHE may have just turned 50 and claims she has wrinkles these days, but guess which actress has been named People magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman for 2015.

SANDRA Bullock has been named the Most Beautiful Woman for 2015.

People magazine gave the 50-year-old Oscar winner the crown this year, describing her as “real and radiant”.

In her typical self-deprecating way, the Gravity star played down the honour, saying she laughed when she heard the news.

“I just said, ‘That’s ridiculous’,” she tells People. “I’ve told no one.”

Bullock, the oldest woman to receive top honours in the history of the list, joins a long line of actresses who have received the honour, including last year’s winner Lupita Nyong’o, and Gwyneth Paltrow in 2013.

Bullock said being a mum to five-year-old Louis is when she feels her most beautiful.

“Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town, it’s just so hard not to say, ‘Oh, I need to look like that’,” she said. “No, be a good person, be a good mum, do a good job with the lunch, let someone cut in front of you who looks like they’re in a bigger hurry. The people I find most beautiful are the ones who aren’t trying.”

The star, who starred as a faux beauty queen in one of her most popular movies Miss Congeniality, says she has stopped eating raw cookie dough and switched to green juices. She also credits her work outs with the program Body by Simone four to five times a week as helping her stay in shape.

“I love that it’s not big weights, you move the entire time, it’s a torture chamber of sorts,” she says. “When I started, I could barely do 20 seconds, and I’m not kidding. I’m crying on the floor, and she’s like, ‘Are you a smoker?’ I was like, ‘I hate you’,” she said.

Bullock, who has dated some hunky co-stars including Ryan Gosling, Matthew McConaughey and Keanu Reeves, says her little man Louis makes her feel the most beautiful.

“I was putting him to bed and told him that even when I’m old and grey and more wrinkly than I am now, I’ll still love him and want to tuck him in,” she said.

“And he asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, ‘Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.’ And he touched my face and said, ‘You’re not old, you’re just happy.’”

Along with Bullock, the magazine has chosen 192 other women to honour.

All the usual suspects made the list — Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Helen Mirren and Jennifer Lopez, as well as plenty of newer names — Taraji P. Henson, Gigi Hadid, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Meghan Trainor, Gabrielle Union, Ariana Grande, Laverne Cox and our very own Margot Robbie.
