Margot Robbie stuns on glamorous W Magazine cover

The Australian actress has fronted the cover of W Magazine’s ‘Best Performances’ issue – and she looks absolutely stunning.

Star-studded blockbuster ‘Babylon’ flops at box office on opening weekend

Margot Robbie has fronted a glamorous magazine cover to promote her latest blockbuster.

The 32-year-old Australian actress looked stunning in a number of photos taken for W Magazine’s February issue, where she talked about her Golden Globe-nominated performance in the upcoming film, Babylon.

Robbie wore a steel-coloured mini Prada dress on the cover, and sported her signature pared-back hair and make-up for the ‘Best Performances’ issue.

During the interview for the magazine, the I, Tonya star talked about how “frantic” she was to score the role of Nellie LaRoy in the Damien Chazelle-directed period dramedy, which hits cinemas in Australia on January 19.

“When I got the script for Babylon, I felt I had to do it. I’ve never felt that way about a script,” Robbie said. “I was frantic. At one point, I suggested showing up at the director’s house.

“When we eventually met, I said, ‘I have to play this character. She’s mine.’”

Elsewhere, Robbie said she finds it easy to play a “crazy” person like Nellie – a silent-film actress in the golden age of Hollywood – and even confessed to real-life experiences that mirror that of her wild character, who has a penchant for crashing parties.

“Oh, I’ve crashed heaps of parties. I crashed a wedding once, just to see how that would be. I had a great time,” Robbie admitted.

Robbie made headlines in December when she revealed she had suggested to Chazelle, 37, that her character kiss co-star Brad Pitt’s character. “When else am I gonna get the chance to kiss Brad Pitt?” she admitted to E! News.

Expanding on the revelation, Robbie added it was actually improvised – and left Pitt stunned.

“I actually improvised a kiss that wasn’t in the script,” Robbie shared.

“We were doing a party scene, and Nellie goes up to Brad Pitt’s character and Katherine Waterston’s character, and I was like, ‘F**k it. I’m just gonna kiss them and see what happens.’

“They were a little bit shocked. I don’t know if it made it into the movie.”

The scene in question did make it into the final cut.

Los Angeles-based Robbie is headed home to Australia in the coming days for the Babylon premiere in Sydney on January 16, alongside her co-star Diego Calva.
