Lady Gaga poses nude for British Vogue, Vogue Italia
Pop powerhouse Lady Gaga has posed nude for British Vogue in a series of ultra-glamorous photos.
Lady Gaga is the latest superstar to snag double covers of fashion’s bible.
The pop phenomenon, 35, fronts the December issue of British Vogue as well as November’s edition of Vogue Italia, in a fittingly dramatic shoot by famed US photographer Steven Meisel.
While most of the spread is high-fashion focused, the Oscar-nominated actress is also pictured nude inside the magazine in a stunning black-and-white image.
British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, who styled Gaga’s spread, said he wanted to dress her in “something fabulous” for the cover shot — an accurate description of the Schiaparelli Haute Couture look she sports on the UK glossy’s cover, which was inspired by a 1930s perfume bottle from the fashion house’s archives.
The House of Gucci star’s gilded and glamorous gown was styled with an electric blue mullet, shimmery violet eye makeup and a slick of glossy red lipstick, adding even more drama to the equation.
Inside the issue, Gaga models more high-octane couture, from a colourful patchwork matador jacket affixed with one of Schiaparelli’s now-signature golden nipples to an explosion of pink-and-white tulle ruffles by Tomo Koizumi.
“Whatever I wear,” she told the crew at her fitting for the shoot, “I will be serving painful Italian glamour from within.”
Gaga is promoting the release of her highly-anticipated biographical film House of Gucci, which premieres on December 26.
The Shallow singer stars alongside Adam Driver, 37, in the drama-filled story about the shocking 1995 murder of Italian fashion mogul Maurizio Gucci, played by Driver, which was orchestrated by his ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani (Gaga).
