IT’S official: Julia Morris is a total babe. And her Australian Women’s Weekly cover proves it.

The 47-year-old comedian, actor and TV host has landed the cover of the magazine’s July issue, and opens up about everything from her second shot at fame to her “reverse body dysmorphia”.

“When you’ve been in the industry thirty years and are only just starting to be described as a success, you have to make hay while the sun shines,” she told the magazine.

“This is my moment, and I have learned from experience that you cannot take anything in showbiz for granted. I’m what you might call a late bloomer.”

After conquering the Australian comedy scene and entertaining on skit shows in the 1990s, Morris left Australia in 2000 and headed to the UK.

While she scored some success at comedy festivals and presenting on the BBC, she admits she had a little too much confidence in herself at the time.

But it was during this period she met her husband, Dan, and after ten years abroad she returned to Australia married with two daughters.

“I was what you might call an acquired taste,” she told the magazine about her younger self.

“I did and said a lot of things that entertained a lot of people, but I also rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way. I’m a lot more mellow now. I sometimes even think now before I open my mouth.”

After a stint on the local version of Celebrity Apprentice, Australian audiences developed a new love for her.

This affection led to a stint hosting Australia’s Got Talent before she landed a dramatic acting role on Nine’s House Husbands. While maintaining this gig, she also managed to sweet-talk network bosses into letting her take on hosting duties for Ten’s reality show I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

Her svelte figure has been just as talked about as her career successes. And she admits to the mag she does have a particular body image “problem”.

“I have reverse body dysmorphia,” she says.

“Always have had. It’s a relatively little known condition that means when you look in the mirror, no matter what you are wearing or how hideous you look, you think you are the hottest thing ever.”

The Australian Women’s Weekly July issue with Julia Morris on the cover is out now.
