DELTA Goodrem has been named the hottest woman in Australia, posing in her sexiest photo shoot yet.

The 30-year-old singer graces the cover of Maxim’s annual Hot 100 issue, beating Hollywod A-lister Margot Robbie for the top spot.

While Goodrem has been gradually showing her sexier side with her ensembles on The Voice, she’s clearly shaken off any remaining inhibitions with the steamy cover shoot.

Sporting wet hair and a smouldering glare, the starlet is tastefully covered up by the edge of a glistening pool.

“I feel most comfortable in my body now than I ever have. I feel sexier,” she told Who Magazine in July.

Goodrem has come a long way since her breakthrough on Neighbours, recently nabbing her ninth No. 1 single with Wings. She’sset to make her theatre debut in a revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic Cats.

Blonde bombshell Margot Robbie rang in the number two spot on this year’s list, followed by sportswoman Ellyse Perry in third.

Recent Maxim cover-girl, Bachelorette Sam Frost, came in at fourth ahead of 2013 Maxim winner, Australia’s Next Top Model host Jennifer Hawkins.

While Goodrem’s sexy shoot was a collaborative effort, the annual edition has sparked controversy in the past. Last year’s title holder Iggy Azalea was less than impressed with her cover.

“This morning I see you’ve allowed Maxim Australia to buy an image from a 2011 Complex mag shoot and put it on the cover” the rapper blasted the Australian division of her record label.

“Maxim Australia, thanks for the love and I’m sorry no one asked me. I would have love to have given an interview & done a shoot with u guys.”
