Asher Keddie stuns in her cover shoot with Marie Claire and opens up about motherhood

THE Offspring star stuns in one of her most revealing shoots, breaking away from the bohemian mould her TV character has become known for.

WHEN you think of Asher Keddie, most people immediately think of Nina Proudman, the Offspring character she has brought to life for more than six seasons.

Keddie’s character Nina has become as well-known for her questionable daydreams as she is for her bohemian fashion — a style the actress herself seems to have adopted.

But, in a break from tradition, Keddie’s most recent covershoot with Marie Claire sees the actress taking a different route — instead opting for a plunging, floral gown for the stunning photo.

The 42-year-old actress went for the windswept look, with her blonde hair swept back to show off her golden earrings.

Keddie’s artist husband Vincent Fantauzzo took to Instagram to gush over the cover, captioning the photo, “My Queen! Great shot”.

Inside the magazine Keddie went for more of a business-chic look, donning a striped, tailored shirt and a sliced black skirt.

In what Marie Clairepromised to be Keddie’s “most revealing interview ever”, the Offspring star spilt on how having children had “made her braver”.

“My priorities [and] my sensitivities have changed. For some reason I feel more flexible now about how things should or shouldn’t be. I was more black and white before I had kids,” she told the magazine.

Keddie shares a two-year-old son Valentino [Vallie] with Fantauzzo and is also stepmum to seven-year-old Luca who is from her husband’s previous relationship.

The actress, who began starring in Offspring in 2010, also revealed the unconventional way she stays fit.

“[Exercise is] literally running after the boys,” she said.

Keddie also laughed off the idea of how her character has turned the actress into a style icon.

“I have 10 pairs of these jeans in different colours, and I’ve worn the same Isabel Marant boots for seven years. I’ve looked the same forever and ever,” she said.

The August issue of Marie Claire starring Asher Keddie went on sale Thursday.

The seventh season of Offspring returned to Network Ten on June 28.
