SEX and the City creator Candace Bushnell is heading to Australia to reveal her secrets of success as an author and businesswoman.
Known worldwide for being the brains behind the hit TV series she also shot to fame through her multitude of best-selling books including The Carrie Diaries, One Fifth Avenue and Lipstick Jungle.
She will join Business Chicks, the nation's largest network for women with more than 28,000 members, and tour the country in July beginning in Perth, before travelling to Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
The successful businesswoman is the opposite of the lead star Carrie Bradshaw in the top-rating TV series, who was hopeless with money and spent copious amounts of cash before making repayments on her apartment.
While touring Australia Ms Bushnell will speak on her life story, how she built up a profitable business and the real-life stories behind the TV series.
"I'm so excited about coming to Australia," she said.
"I can already tell that I'm going to have so much fun with Business Chicks."
Business Chicks chief executive officer Emma Isaacs said Ms Bushnell played a key role in the female liberation movement.
"She made it ok to talk about issues such as gay marriage and amplified the challenges for single working mums," she said.
"Her books, her TV shows and movies have been behind so many of our conversations."
