Stephen King, one of the richest authors, still out to scare you
The world’s leading horror writer has new scares and thrills in store for his fans around the world - and this time, you won’t believe what he’s come up with.
Stephen King is set to scare the living daylights out of horror fans - while taking home a hefty pay cheque with the release of a new movie and novel.
The spooky author announced on Twitter the publication of his next book, The Institute, and the release of It: Chapter 2, the sequel to the 2017 hit, which itself was a remake of a 1990 TV mini-series.
I have a new movie and a new book coming out next month. The movie is IT CHAPTER 2. The book is THE INSTITUTE. It's about kids trapped in hell and trying to get out. I think both the book and the movie are pretty darn good.

Fox News reports that the upcoming novel centres on a sinister institute populated by children with unique talents. The clown-centric film, meanwhile, could break the US box office record for the highest-grossing R-rated horror movie.
The success of the movie version of It, adapted from his 1986 novel bearing the same name, doubled King’s earnings after he collected an eight-figure paycheck from the film, according to Forbes. The Warner Bros. horror flick grossed more than AU$1 billion worldwide on a $50 million budget.
King earned $40 million, making him the third highest-paid author of 2018. He has earned more than $660 million in his career.
According to Fox Business, King’s top 10 earning movies are:
1. It (2017): AU$1.14 billion
2. The Green Mile: $343 million
3. The Shining: $215 million
4. Carrie (1976): $208 million
5. Misery: $190 million
6. Pet Semetary (1989): $188 million
7. Stand by Me: $184 million
8. 1408: $137 million
9. The Running Man: $127 million
10. The Lawnmower Man: $102 million.
Meanwhile, the author has moved to distance himself from his namesake, Republican Congressman Steve King, who made headlines when he questioned whether the human race would still exist if rape and incest had never happened.
Let's get 1 thing straight. I'm not THAT Steve King.
