The officer, hired to protect the Danish royal, apparently stepped over the line when he became more of a friend than “discreet, polite and professional”.
Mary, 42, from Tasmania, wed Frederik, 46, in 2004. The couple, who famously met in a pub in Sydney, have four children, Christian, Isabella and twins Vincent and Josephine.

Although nothing inappropriate happened between the two, their close relationship led to him getting the chop, New Idea reports.
“Mary is upset and Frederik is furious,” an insider told the glossy mag.
“Mary always behaves properly and follows royal protocol to the letter.”
“She would hate for anyone to think that she gave off the wrong signals.”
The author of the book is Frank Martinsen, who was working for the Danish Security Intelligence Service during his period of service, but now runs a private security firm in Copenhagen.
He also claims in the book that Prince Frederik was nearly ejected from the military after having a tough time finishing an exercise.
