Ruby Rose 'uninvited' from Brownlows by Hawthorn Football Club
RUBY Rose claims she was once "uninvited" to the glitzy Brownlows last year. Could this be because she doesn't fit the typical WAG criteria?
RUBY Rose has tweeted that she was "uninvited" to the Brownlows last year because she "wasn't the right look".
The Melbourne-born model and television presenter took to the social networking site while the awards were taking place to let her followers know why she wasn't seen on the red carpet last year with the likes of Wag-tastic Rebecca Judd.
Rose claimed she had been invited by Hawthorn player Lance "Buddy" Franklin, but the offer was later reneged.
He asked me once.. then took it back lol @HrabarPaul: @RubyRose1 @Buddy_Franklin trying to work out why haven't taken Ruby to Brownlow? ;)"
The 27-year-old then followed up with another tweet, saying that the "club" - presumably the Hawthorn Football Club - thought Rose didn't have the "right look" to attend the awards.
Not only was I invited to the brownlows but I was uninvited because the "club" worried I wasnt the right look... WOULDNT happen with Geelong
A third tweet from Rose speculated the reason for her barring from the glitzy event may have something to do with all of her ink.
Probably because I have more tattoos than the players.. id have died of boredom anyway. However pretty funny. Had my weave&spray tan ready!
Pretty ironic really, given that AFL players tend to sport more ink than many other professional athletes we know.
