Olivia Colman is set to rake in more than $45 million after her stunning Oscars triumph for her role in The Favourite.

The actress, 45, beat her idol Glenn Close to the coveted Best Actress award on Sunday night and will now see her earnings potential skyrocket, according to a US entertainment consultant.

Brodie Cooper, of US entertainment consultancy JDMC, told The Mirror Olivia could soon find herself mentioned in the same breath as Hollywood heavyweights Meryl Streep and Close herself.

He said: “Olivia’s Oscar immediately sends her into a new strata in Hollywood, both for pay and placement.

“Her agents and studios know that any project she takes next has the all-important seal of approval of the Best Actress Academy Award Winner on the posters and pitch.

“Olivia’s earning power has easily quadrupled overnight. In the short term she is looking at opportunities totalling well over $45 million.”

Cooper added that Olivia’s stock could rise even further when the third series of The Crown drops on Netflix.

She’s joined the cast as Queen Elizabeth II, alongside Helena Bonham Carter, and there’s already a buzz around her work.

Mum-of-two Olivia broke down on stage as she accepted her gong, telling the audience: “It’s genuinely quite stressful. This is hilarious, I’ve got an Oscar.

“I have to thank lots of people and if I forget anybody I’ll find you later and give you a massive snog.

“My mum and my dad and my kids who are at home watching, well if you’re not then well done, but I sort of hope you are. This is not going to happen again.

“Any little girl who’s practising their speech on the telly — you never know! I used to work as a cleaner, I used to love that job.”

She also paid tribute to husband Ed Sinclair in the emotional speech and blew a raspberry while flicking the V sign to bosses when they to tried to hurry her up.

Speaking backstage after her victory Olivia revealed she’d be keeping the trophy between her and husband Ed — in bed.

Asked where she’d be keeping the gold statuette, she replied: “In bed with me, between me and my husband. He doesn’t know yet. He won’t mind.”

She went straight from the starry ceremony to the Governors Ball, where sources saw her “larking about” in the photo booth, and then on to the Vanity Fair party after a brief pit stop at her suite at the Chateau Marmont to pick up a party bus at midnight for her friends.

A source close to the star told The Sun: “Olivia didn’t want anything uber posh like a fancy executive star so the party bus was the perfect idea to carry on the celebrations.

“She invited her glam squad and a couple of her mates and they drove around Los Angeles with the music pumping finishing off at a private bash where they stayed until the early hours.

“Olivia was on cloud nine and couldn’t be taken down.”
