Tracee Ellis Ross flashes the flesh with eye-popping red gown

One star has caused a stir with her extremely daring gown as she walked the red carpet at the Oscars, with fans calling for her to fire her stylist.

This year’s Oscars red carpet has provided plenty of memorable style moments already with stars embracing bold colours and quirky silhouettes for the film industry’s night of nights.

But one star’s eye-popping look set tongues wagging on Twitter for all the wrong reasons.

Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross donned a revealing ensemble that looked moments away from prompting a wardrobe malfunction, with many remarking that the dress looked ill-fitting.

Many said the gown looked ‘unfinished’.

Others implored her to fire her stylist.

While the full skirt and striking red was serving dancing-emoji, the top of the gown … or lack thereof, divided fans tuning in to the Academy Awards at home.

“I know Tracee Ellis Ross is anti bra but this dress could have at least been tailored to give her a smidge of support just a little. She looks fab in red btw,” one said, while another wrote: “Slow clap for Tracee Ellis Ross showing up to the Oscars topless.”

One fan said they “audibly gasped and not in a good way”.

Some, however, were convinced her look was the best of the night, applauding the daring silhouette and old-Hollywood glamour.

The actress announced the 2022 Oscars nominations in February alongside Leslie Jordan.

It marked Ross’s second time heading up the announcement after previously co-hosting the special with Kumail Nanjiani in 2019.

Ross wasn’t the only celeb flashing the flesh up top on the red carpet today — with Dune actor Timothee Chalamet showing up completely shirtless for the event.
