Oscars 2021: How to watch the Academy Awards in Australia

This year’s Academy Awards are only days away – here’s how you can watch the ceremony and the red carpet here in Australia.

They may be two months late due to the pandemic, but this year’s Academy Awards are finally upon us.

Although things will be different this year, we can still expect lots of tears, red carpet glamour, funny monologues, more tears and of course, the most recognised trophy in the world.

Unlike the Emmys and the Golden Globes, which went virtual, the Oscars will remain an in-person event – meaning no Zoom acceptance speeches.

This year the show will be broadcast from several locations across Los Angeles, including the city’s historic Union Station in addition to its usual home, the Dolby Theatre.

Attendance will be limited to only the nominees, their guests and presenters. European hubs have been set up for those nominees who can’t fly in for the ceremony.
